Undertaker – Royal Rumble

January 30, 2007 on 2:05 am | In Randomness, TV, WWE | 1 Comment

Once again, I was drawn into my old pass time of WWE wrestling last night.  I dont watch it half as much as I used too.  As I have mentioned before on this site, I was a massive fan of The Undertaker.  I always try to watch the royal rumble match as it was probably the biggest part of watching wrestling for me…

I was over the moon last night early hours of this morning to see the undertaker won the royal rumble match and booked himself a WWE title shot at wrestlemania, before anyone says, I know its all scripted and it has been rumored for months that he would win, but its still cool to see.  My other childhood Favourite, HBK Shawn Michaels was the 2nd last man, and to see them battle it out was like being 6 again  lol.  The Undertaker had done everything in the WWE, apart from win a Royal Rumble, now he has    He has been around long before I watched Wrestling and is still going now, although he will have to retire one day, as he is in his 40+ now, and real or not wrestling is still very physical, the guy is one hell of an athlete.  Keep going undertaker!!!

Have a look on Phenom Forever for a more detailed look at the match and the reaction to the result.

Top Gear – Richard Hammonds Crash

January 30, 2007 on 1:54 am | In TV, Topgear | 2 Comments

I watched Top Gear last night, as everyone knows, It showed Richard Hammond’s Crash.  It was almost scary watching it and quite freaky the fact that before doing it he commented that if it went wrong it could be one of the biggest crashes ever seen.  Little did he know that it would end up that way.

If you haven’t seen it already, here is the footage.  The first run was done without the afterburner, but even so, he managed to get it to a speed of 220mph, second and third runs were done with the afterburner on, reaching speeds of around 314mph.  Notice after the second run, Hammond says “oh yes, I’m so alive, so alive”, he also mentions that ”the roll bar digs into the ground, along with my head, and that stops it very quickly”.

I would like to say that it is a total miracle that he managed to return to our screens last night on the show, as Jeremy said, he showed great bravery to do it in the first place and even greater bravery to get through his recovery.  Here is another bit of footage from another crash he had… He wasn’t hurt in this one though.

A few things I didn’t like about last nights show…  Firstly, the fact that top gear received a lot more viewers, but it took a man nearly dying to get them to watch, as a fan of the show regardless, I dislike the fact that there are millions of new “top gear fans” out there, who have probably never seen an episode of top gear until last night.  Secondly, the fact that Jeremy seemed to have a dig James May (who was meant to be doing the stunt in the first place, but backed out.  Jeremy said “you were very brave getting in that thing, I wouldn’t have done it and he (James May) certainly wouldn’t have! I might have been reading a bit to much into it but there we are…

Closing statement from Jeremy “one thing we’ve learned from Richard, speed kills!” which drew a bemused look out of Hammond

Army Driving In Iraq

January 29, 2007 on 2:38 am | In Internet, Randomness | No Comments

I found this video after some random clickage on the net…

It clearly show how to get through a traffic jam, if only I had a humvee to get home from work in  lol.  Seriously though, I know from having multiple family in Iraq at the moment, they are told not to stop if they can help it, as you are more likely to get attacked etc…

Yet again, I cant see the video, so it might not work…

Rocky Balboa – 5 Stars!!!

January 28, 2007 on 5:12 pm | In Movies | 2 Comments

Me and Michelle went to the Cinema to Watch Rocky Balboa on Friday…

It’s the second time I’ve seen it now, I still think it’s great!  It’s not up to the level of Rocky 4, but it totally eclipses Rocky 5 which should have never of happened!

It’s quite a nice change for them to have a realistic fight at the end too, this is obviously helped because Antonio Tarver, who plays Mason “The Line” Dixon is a real professional boxer.

Expect all the usual training/fighting/emotional dramas he always has, but I think that everyone will like it.  Rocky Retired with a touch of class!!

HALO GBA

January 18, 2007 on 11:28 pm | In Gaming, Internet, Nintendo | No Comments

I came across this earlier today, It’s not clear yet whether it is real or faked, howeve I for one hope it is fake. I think if you take a game as good as Halo and put it on the now ancient GBA you would make a mockery of the game. What I will say though, if this was to come out for the DS I would be highly interested, incidentally, I did hear a rumour about a DS version, but it seems to have been faked.

here’s a link, cos the video is a bit flakey…

Fantastic Four – Rise of The Silver Surfer

January 17, 2007 on 10:04 pm | In Movies, Trailers, Youtube | No Comments

Here’s the trailer for the new Fantastic Four film…

I’m one of the few fans of the last film, and yes its not on the level of Spiderman etc, but it’s fun.

This one looks really good, The Silver Surfer looks cool and will appear in his own films soon enough, it’ll be interesting to see if Galactus turns up in this film or if they save him for the Silver Surfer films

The Movies

January 15, 2007 on 5:20 pm | In Gaming, Movies | No Comments

I’ve recently got the PC game The Movies (with its expansion).  It runs along the lines of the sims, you have to manage a film production company, which involves Hiring/Firing actors and crew, writing scripts, organising stunts and building sets.  I’ve made quite a few films now (none of which have had a great boxoffice impact)

I decided to steal a concept for some success.  I tried to remake the matrix trilogy.  I couldnt get it to work in an embedded player, I’ll have to speak to my technical support :P    Anyway here is my effort…

New Coat

January 2, 2007 on 11:40 pm | In Clothes, TV, Torchwood | No Comments

I got a new coat today. In the picture it looks black, but it is infact blue.  Very similar to the coat worn by Captain Jack Harkness in Torchwood.  Just not as long.

The coat was a bit of a bargain too, down to £30 from £90
