Calling All Gamers

I am after a new graphics card for my PC, as mine is a little weak for my liking.

My current system is: A dell Dimension 5100 – 3.0ghz Pentium 4, 1.50gb of ram (ddr i believe) 80gb hard drive.  The current graphics card is an ati x300 se 128mb hypermemory pci-e. 

I have been looking at either this or something of a similar price range.

Radeon x1900 256mb

It would be great if I could get a better card than that one for a similar price , it doesnt have to be ati either, although they are what i’ve always had.  

The benchmark I want is to be able to play things like half life 2, fear, command and conquer – tiberium wars etc on full detail, cos at the mins I play them on low/medium.   I would like s-video out too, as I hunted for an s-video cable for weeks and got one nice and cheap  lol.

Holophonic Sound

I HAVE HAD TO DISABLE THE HOLOPHONIC SOUNDS FOR THE TIME BEING, THEY WILL BE BACK ONCE I HAVE A PERMANENT SOLUTION FOR THE BANDWIDTH! suggestions welcome

As requested, I have found a similar thing to the Virtual Barbershop, its called Cereni Holphonic.  This one (in my opinion) isn’t as good as the barbershop, but still quite good.  it involves matches, but thats all i’ll say

Just to mention to the fans it has (i.e Les)

AOL has changed its browser.  Ive been using AOL 9 for about 3 years now.  It has its faults as do most things, but its pretty fast and works well overall, apart from the odd problem connecting (that only happens about once a month tho).

The new version (forgive its dodgy name) is really really top draw.  I've been using it for a few days and its fast and reliable.  I've had a bit of trouble getting to grips with the new features (of which there are a fair few), for example, the little blue circle in the near top right, you drag that to change the size of the four windows, as your email, IM, browser and media are all viewed in the main window. I'm getting the hang of it now and its a massive improvement!

Free WIFI

I was just watching The Gadget Show on Channel Five.  They have a campaign to make WIFI access free across the country.  I think it should be, so I’ve signed up.  I think you should too!

Les fixed my wordpress and some plugins for me.  I’ll post something using some of the new features.

added a calendar at the side, random headers (mostly bridges on the tyne) and smilies on the comments page

ones that didnt work…. gravatars, drop down links, the MP3 plugin and the apple trailer sidebar widget thing.
